Slimming group consultants from Wharfedale met reality TV star Mark Wright at a national awards ceremony celebrating the country’s most successful slimmers.
Rachael Allott and Dorrie Clarke, who run Ilkley and Burley-in-Wharfedale Slimming World groups, met The Only Way Is Essex star at the event in Birmingham.
Members of the Ilkley and Burley groups lost a total of 642 stones over the year.
The pair, who run weekly Slimming World groups at Ilkley Rugby Club and St John Fisher and St Thomas More Catholic Church, Burley-in-Wharfedale, were thrilled to get the chance to pose for a photo with the celebrity.
Mark shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex, before taking to the jungle as a contestant in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here and now fronts ITV2 show Take Me Out The Gossip.
He joined Slimming World’s founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell to host the ceremony.
He said: “Presenting the Slimming World Awards was a real honour.
“Throughout the day I met so many fantastic people, not only the slimmers collecting awards but also amazing people like Rachael and Dorrie who run the Slimming World groups and help them achieve so much.”
Rachael says meeting Mark was the perfect ending to a great year.
But Dorrie said there was still lots of work to be done.
