Seasonal Bolton Abbey woodland walk set to finish
3:59pm Thursday 3rd January 2013 in News
There is still time to take a look at Bolton Abbey’s special woodland trail.
The 12 Days of Christmas woodland walk, back after the popularity of last year’s event, offers a great way to walk off the holiday excesses and continues until Saturday.
Along with family and friends, you can wander through the Strid Wood.
Join in the fun and sing along as you discover 12 different scenes, some of which are interactive, between the Cavendish Pavilion and the Strid.
Spot the swans a swimming on the river Wharfe and look out for real French hens as you enjoy the picturesque riverside and woodland walk.
As you approach The Strid, don’t forget to listen out for pipers piping and join in with the drummers drumming.
Stroll back to the Cavendish Pavilion and finish off your walk with a delicious hot chocolate and warm mince pie by the fireside.
This free family event is accessible to all. The usual admission fee of £6 per vehicle applies on arrival to the estate.
