TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD: The guild promotes the interests of women and raises money for charities. We also have a wide variety of interest groups. We meet in the lecture hall at Otley Methodist Church at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of each month. Our next meeting is tonight when we are having our annual supper followed by a quiz on bees. WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: We have enjoyed a very varied and interesting 2012. The decoration of the Christmas tree as part of the festival in the church was a great success. We all thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas entertainment, a recital by a select number of the Chippendale choir, who looked elegant and sang divinely. We had a really good laugh with a quiz and ended the evening with a faith supper. Anyone interested in joining us should go along on the second Wednesday of the month to Cross Green Community Centre at 7.15pm.
