Time to get rid of the ‘rotting tooth stumps’

I wish to draw your attention to two errors in last week’s article regarding the Chelker Wind Farm. The second paragraph should have read 1,400kwh-per-month, and not for the whole seven month period. Chelker residents have no desire to join Kelda and Yorkshire Water in their “administrative errors”. Indeed no electricity was produced at all during five of those seven months, according to figures provided by OFWAT.

The point however will not be lost on those of your readers who take an interest in such matters. This Wind Farm is “bust” by any stretch of the imagination and we now await Craven District Council’s research as to the precise legal meaning of “ceased working” and then we can hopefully get these rotting tooth stumps into the skip and return the land to its original agricultural and peaceful purpose.

The second error is that I am not, and never have been, a councillor, which makes it a good deal easier to continue the “hairdryer treatment” by our very vigilant group of activists.

Peter Rigby.
