CANTORES Olicanae choir are performing a concert to mark the centenary of the death of C Hubert H Parry, arguably one of Britain’s most iconic and influential composers.
This concert includes some of his best-known works including ‘I Was Glad’, ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Blest Pair of Sirens’. Alongside this well-known repertoire, the evening will include music by Macmillan, Gurney, Finzi and Dyson.
The choir’s Musical Director, Rory Wainwright Johnston, will conduct and the accompanist will be Alan Horsey.
The concert is on Saturday, March 17 at St Mary’s Church, Burley-in-Wharfedale, at 7.30pm.
