FAIRGROUND Attraction founder Mark Nevin will be bringing his award-winning songs to Otley this month.

The writer of number one hit Perfect will take the stage at the Courthouse with his new band on Friday, March 16.

Nevin's songs have been recorded by a host of musical greats including David Bowie, Morrissey, Ringo Starr, Joe Cocker and Kirsty MacColl.

His latest album, My Unfashionable Opinion, has attracted widespread praise and has been described as 'taking the listener on a fascinating journey through a life well lived.'

Nevin's group includes original Fairground Attraction band-mate Simon Edwards on bass, along with Roger Beaujolais on vibraphone and drummer Richard Marcangelo.

His shows see the singer-songwriter weaving humorous, moving and inspiring stories between songs old and new and the Courthouse says the audience can 'expect a night quite unlike anything else out there.'

The Otley performance starts at 8pm and tickets cost £14 - for more details visit www.otleycourthouse.org.uk or call (01943) 467466.
