THINGS are hotting up in Yeadon with the final run of rehearsals for the forthcoming show, 9 to 5.

Despite freezing temperatures outside, the cast have been keeping warm with dance routines and big musical numbers that they have been working on all winter.

The production is being hailed as fun and feisty, with a comic slant on some very relevant issues of gender equality and sexual discrimination in the workplace.

On stage at Yeadon Town Hall from March 13 to 17, 9 to 5 tells the story of how three women who feeling discriminated against in their workplace, decide to take matters in to their own hands.

The show is based on the hit comedy film 9 to 5 and features songs written by the legendary Dolly Parton.

Pam Beck, secretary of Yeadon Amateurs said: "The talent, commitment and dedication from each and every cast member of our society is so heart-warming, especially in this day and age of digital everything. They support one another, they support the society and as rehearsals go on, friendships grow, trust develops and a real sense of belonging begins to take hold. 9 to 5 promises to be a fantastic show with a truly talented and wonderful cast."
