THERE’S murder and mischief afoot this week at Ilkley Cinema, where the unlikeliest pair of heroes come together under our roof to bring cinematic justice in their own unique and wonderful way: Poirot and Paddington.

From December 1, the lovable marmalade sandwich consuming bear returns in Paddington 2, where he is all settled in with his new family, the Browns and a hugely popular member of the community. With Paddington’s Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday just around the corner, he must find the perfect present for her. Stumbling into an antique shop, he finally spots it, a pop-up book of London: Aunt Lucy’s favourite place she has never been to. It’ll be like she is finally there!

Determined to get his paws on it, Paddington takes on a series of odd jobs to save up enough money to buy it. But, one frightful night, a thief steals the book and Paddington is framed for the crime. It is up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the real culprit and retrieve the prized book before Aunt Lucy’s birthday celebrations.

With a fantastic, quintessentially British cast including Hugh Bonneville, Hugh Grant, Julie Walters and Sally Hawkins, this is one hilarious film that kids, parents and even the grandparents will love! We will be running Paddington 2 all week, and will also feature as our Kids’ Club film this weekend.

All aboard The Orient Express once again, if you didn’t manage to catch this classic murder mystery, then we have a second week of Murder on the Orient Express. A man is found dead upon the famed train, but who killed him: was it the maid, the widow, the professor or the assistant? Quite frankly, every passenger is a suspect and Poirot must race against time to find the killer before they strike again.
