TRIBUTE acts for some of the world's biggest musical stars will perform together at a fundraising show in Ilkley this month.

The sounds and songs of Elvis Presley, Cher, Freddie Mercury, Michael Bublé, Shirley Bassey and Michael Jackson will all feature in Christmas Night with the Stars.

Organised as a fundraiser for six of the 14 charities being supported by Otley Town Mayor Nigel Francis this year, the show takes place at Ilkley's King's Hall on Sunday, November 26.

Councillor Francis said: "Christmas Night with the Stars comes to Ilkley with a line-up of top artistes, many of whom have appeared on cruise ships, at theatres throughout the UK and in individual, bill-topping concerts.

"Stacy Green as Cher is a five star performer and rates as one of the best, if not the best, Cher tribute acts in the UK today.

"Aaron Martin, the voice of Elvis Presley, has performed at many venues in and around this area and in fact all across England. Not one to be missed, he has a large following.

"Paul Tayler has taken both his one man show and his Legends Tour around many of the leading theatres in the UK and received rave reviews.

"It's difficult to say which is the greatest performance he does, but his Michael Bublé is cool and sophisticated, his Freddie Mercury will have you singing along and his Michael Jackson will have you dancing in the aisles!

"And Rachael Roberts as Shirley Bassey packs a punch that is second to none - her performance will take you back and includes some of Shirley’s greatest hits including Diamonds are Forever and Goldfinger!"

Tickets for the event cost o£20 or £15 for concessions and are available from Ilkley Tourist Information Office on Station Road - call (01943) 602319.

Profits from the show, after expenses, will go to Martin House Children's Hospice, Hang on to a Dream, and the Bluebell Wood, St Gemma’s, Wheatfields and Forget Me Not hospices.
