KVU Singers present The King’s Singers in concert in Ilkley this month to help local conductor, Frank Smith, celebrate a lifetime in music

The KVU Singers’ musical director has spent a lifetime conducting local choirs with 50 years with Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir, 25 years with Colne Linden Singers and 35 years, and still counting, with KVU Singers - an impressive tally in anyone’s book.

In order to celebrate this outstanding achievement KVU Singers is delighted to promote a concert with the internationally famous King’s Singers, to be held in the King’s Hall, Ilkley on Sunday, September 24 at 7.30pm.

Acclaimed for their life-affirming virtuosity and irresistible charm, The King’s Singers are in global demand. Their work – synonymous with the best in vocal ensemble performance – appeals to a vast international audience.

Performing to hundreds of thousands of people each season, the group tours regularly to Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australasia. Instantly recognisable for their immaculate intonation, vocal blend, diction and incisive timing, The King’s Singers are consummate entertainers.
