TRADITIONAL Celtic music is set to kick off the new season at Otley Courthouse in rousing style.
Tannahill Weavers will bring their dynamic brand of folk to the venue on Saturday, September 2.
One of Scotland's top acts, the band, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, have received accolades around the world for the energy and musicianship of their performances - and the diversity of their repertoire.
Their material covers everything from reflective ballads to foot-stomping reels and jigs, all delivered with tight harmonies and powerful, inventive arrangements.
The group - featuring guitarist and singer Roy Gullane; Phil Smillie on flute, bodhran, and whistles; John Martin on fiddle, cello and viola; and acclaimed bagpiper Lorne MacDougall - was born of a session in Paisely.
It also took its distinctive name from elements of the town, in a nod to the historic weaving industry and local poet laureate, Robert Tannahill.
The Tannahill Weavers' Otley Courthouse show starts at 8pm and tickets cost £12.
