PAPILLON, a new project by Anna Phoebe and Nicolas Rizzi comes to Otley Courthouse on Friday, June 9 at 8pm.

Anna and Nicolas blend Eastern inspired violin and guitar melodies and cinematic soundscapes. Anna Phoebe has performed throughout the world as a featured soloist for various artists and is now carving a career with her own projects.

Together with Nicolas Rizzi and her band, Anna released an album, Between the Shadow and the Soul in 2014. Anna and Nicolas have provided the main support for Bob Dylan at the Rock Legends Festival in Poland. They have performed at the Songlines Encounters Festival and toured UK cathedrals. As Papillon, Anna and Nicolas will perform their new material in a series of live concerts in 2017, to be followed by the release of their debut album.

Violinist and composer Anna Phoebe has toured in the United States and played major British venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall and festivals including Glastonbury, Fuji Rock and Sonar Festival. Anna has toured with artists and bands including Jon Lord, Jethro Tull, Roxy Music, Oi Va Voi, and the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Anna is also a film composer. Her film music ranges from avant garde contemporary classical pieces to electronic soundscapes weaving vocals and strings. Additionally, she has played violin and viola on several BBC productions including Peaky Blinders (Series 1 and 2) and War and Peace.
