THE ART and science of murder investigation will provide the unusual subject of a comedy show at Otley Courthouse.
Comedian Alfie Moore, a former Detective Sergeant, will draw on experiences from his past career when he presents Getting Away with Murder at 8pm on Saturday, January 21.
The interactive event promises to take the audience on a thrilling, and hilarious, journey that explains how killers get caught and, sometimes, evade justice.
Alfie served with the police for 18 years, gathering a wealth of real-life anecdotes that inform his comedy along the way.
He is the star of BBC Radio 4 comedy It’s A Fair Cop and has appeared on Channel 5's Wright Stuff, Comic Relief, Bizarre Crime, on BBC3, and Confessions of a Police Officer on Channel 4.
He has household name comedians including Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national tours.
A Courthouse spokesman said: "Alfie is a truly charismatic performer - this show will have you in stitches and is certainly not one to be missed."
Tickets for Getting Away with Murder, which is suitable for anyone aged 14-plus, cost £13.
They can be booked by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or popping into the venue on Courthouse Street, Otley.
