AND just like that, another month is drawing to a close, we can’t believe how fast this year is going! We’re still very excited about new films, and from September 23 to 29, we have everything from Woody Allen’s latest masterpiece, to an entertaining adventure in the Lake District.

Let’s raise a glass to Woody Allen, who in his wonderful career has now produced his 47th motion picture, Café Society, a nod to the glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Era. Bobby (Jesse Eisenberg) moves from New York to Hollywood and lands an exciting opportunity with his uncle Phil (Steve Carrell).

Bobby then can’t believe his luck when he falls for the kind, down-to-earth Vonnie (Kristen Stewart), but things become much more complicated when she is far from single with the last person he would ever expect.

For a second week, we experience the simple life of Ben Cash and his family, as they learn about the important ways of the world in the Washington wilderness in Captain Fantastic.

Their perfect paradise is thrown into disarray when the family’s mother dies and they wish to attend her funeral. Integrating into the real world is going to be tricky, and Ben’s whole upbringing methods are called into question in this charming drama.

Bask in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District and our very own county in the timeless classic Swallows and Amazons.

Join the Walker children as they set sail to camp on a nearby island upon their boat: Swallow while on a summer holiday. A lovely adventure turns into war when they have to fight with the Blackett children for control of the island in this good natured, lovely film.

And joining the collection of kid’s film is Rio, the tale of Blu: a rare, flightless macaw who is taken to Rio de Janerio to mate with a female macaw to repopulate his kind. But, of course, this simple task does not go according to plan when the birds are kidnapped in this Saturday’s Kid’s Club.
