IN TIME for Mother’s Day and in celebration of SOS mothers, a group of local artists are hosting a Charity Art Exhibition in Addingham next weekend.

This free exhibition will take place on Saturday, March 7, from 11am until 2pm at Addingham’s Memorial Hall.

It will feature the work of five local artists (Joanna Angus, John Giles, Lisa Hinds, Susannah Lawless, and Jenny Young) with pieces covering a diverse range of subjects from local landscapes, to the African Savanna.

A proportion of the profits raised will go to the SOS Children’s Villages charity.

The event organiser Joanna Angus said: “The SOS Children’s Villages charity is close to my heart, and a charity I support each year because of the loving homes and families they give to orphaned and abandoned children worldwide.

“The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity to purchase handcrafted gifts for your own mothers while also supporting the wonderful work of SOS mothers who are devoted to caring for vulnerable children.

“With Mother’s Day around the corner and with a diverse range of original and limited edition art works available, I am looking forward to what is shaping up to be a vibrant and well-attended event.”
