Upstagers set to perform Vietnam War love story

Ilkley's Upstagers Youth Theatre Group has been chosen by the professional management team to perform the under 19s’ version of the musical Miss Saigon at the King’s Hall, between July 11-14.
The setting of the plot is 1970s Saigon during the Vietnam War, and is the story of a romance between an American GI and a Vietnamese bar girl.
Miss Saigon is by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alan Boublil and has been performed more than 4,000 times in the West End.
Upstagers are now looking for boys aged 16 and above for soldiers and girls aged 16 and above for bar girls.
