The City of Bradford Brass Band will play at a Rotary Club concert in Ilkley next month in aid of worldwide campaign to eradicate polio.
The Rotary Club of Ilkley Wharfedale is staging the concert at Christchurch, The Grove, on Friday, June 22, in aid of the Thanks for Life/End Polio Now campaign. Rotary International is working with health organisations around the world to wipe out the disease.
The Ilkley Wharfedale club’s concert, which raised more than £1,200 last year, is sponsored by local companies Evans Property Group, Dale Eddison, Carers and Companions, Last Cawthra Feather, and Yorkshire Building Society as well as Ilkley and District Round Table. Tickets cost £8 each and are available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre at Ilkley Town Hall, or from Bob Smith on (01943) 877244.
