WHILE the relentless April showers make their mark on Yorkshire, the most exciting mix of films descend onto Ilkley Cinema: everything from brutal action films to delicate dramas to breathtakingly funny comedies from March 31st - April 6th.

John Wick is a marked man in the eponymous action sequel John Wick: Chapter Two. The former super hitman can do most things without fault, but retiring isn't one of them. A debt to an Italian crime lord must be repaid, and he reluctantly agrees, so his precise assassination skills be utilised one more time. But when a sizable bounty appears on Wick's head, more blood is spilled as he tries to evade those that plot to kill him.

And for something entirely different, we join Joan Collins and Pauline Collins on some rather wacky adventures as they have The Time of Their Lives. Former Hollywood siren (Joan Collins) enlists the help of new friend Priscilla (Pauline Collins) to escape from her retirement home in order to attend an ex-lover's funeral in France. Of course, no road trip would be complete without a few mishaps, a holiday romance and hilarious stories to come home with.

Hugh Jackman bows out of the legendary X-Men and superhero franchise in Logan. Take a peek into the dystopian near future, and Logan is taking care of an ailing Professor X in the remote Mexican border. While this predicament is unsettling enough, things become more complicated when they encounter a young girl: a mutant with the same metallic powers as the once famous Wolverine. Logan's job is to protect the child from dark forces as he learns that maybe they have more in common than he might think.

Finally, we follow the exceptionally real lives of three ordinary ladies in Certain Women. The understated brilliance of the leading trio: Laura Dern, Michelle Williams and Kristen Stewart make this subtle, beautifully crafted drama one definitely not to be missed.
