AS ANOTHER month rapidly draws to a close, we answer many questions at Ilkley Cinema with our film selection this week, such as "is the internet taking over our lives" and "what harm could possibly come from adopting an orphaned child washed up at sea?".

From November 24 to December 1, M. L. Stedman's internationally best-selling debut novel The Light Between Oceans is brought beautifully to life. Following a couple who cannot have children, Tom and Isabel's prayers seem to be answered when they find an orphaned baby, washed up on the idyllic Australian coastline. With her birth father perished at sea, the couple raise the child as their own. But how long could they possibly keep this secret for? When the child's birth mother reappears, it turns out, no secret can be kept forever. Be prepared for a few tears with this wonderful film!

Ben Affleck wows as Christian Wolff in The Accountant, starring as an autistic maths genius who by day works as an average Joe, office accountant. But this is just a cover-up for his freelance work, balancing the books for criminal organisations. Of course, their financial history isn't exactly going to be sparkling, so Wolff must use his genius intellect, along with his epic martial arts skills to fight these embezzling bad guys.

World renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog is no stranger to delving into the world of unknown. This time, he braves the chasm of possibly the most complex thing in existence: the internet and the ever growing world of technology. Conducting interviews from a variety of interesting characters, including a modern day hermit living wholly off-grid, a gaming addict and internet visionaries, Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World is an eye opening documentary for anyone who is a bit of a techno-whizz.

Joining Kid's Club squad this week is another chance to see Pete's Dragon if you missed it over the summer. We're not quite sure how you could possibly miss such a giant dragon, but never mind.
