THE Wharfedale Male Voice Choir begins its 31st year with a season of new concert bookings around the area, with venues in Burley, Horsforth, Ilkley and Menston
The choir has recently been joined by Mr Paul Hurst as conductor, working alongside musical director Blanche Woollin, together with new members.
Members continue to offer a rich tapestry of “sing-outs” and performances of popular music to a wide cross section of groups and communities, including collaboration with other choirs.
This season will be no exception, with efforts to raise money for charity also on the agenda. Additional new members are always welcome, and the ability to read music, whilst helpful, is not necessary.
The choir meets every Monday afternoon at the Eric Lefevre Church Hall on Bradford Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale from 2pm to 4pm.
