KEIGHLEY singer Den Miller is expecting a sell-out performance at the Queens Hall in Moortown on Sunday, October 9.
Den is performing a fundraising concert at the Leeds venue and tickets were going fast at the time of writing.
Den said: “Queens Hall is near where I grew up and it regularly hosts many live music events, including the Friday Circle of Friends and Sunday Queens Folk, as well as many other community events.
“It now needs the roof fixing, and as people there have been so supportive of my music then I’m delighted to support them in return, by playing to help them raise funds.
“This concert will be limited strictly to 35 tickets, which are available from Mike Garner, whose email is michaelgarner@ntlworld.com.”
Den was invited to return to Birmingham last week as a result of his successful evening at the New Crystal Folk Club in Rowley Regis during his tour in June.
He was looking forward to a warm welcome from the “vibrant bunch” at the club, followed the next day by a his first-ever performance in a library, in Thimblemill at Smethwick.
Den will perform for patients at the Airedale Hospital Saturday Social on November 5.
He will reunite with local acoustic duo Strid to perform at the Exchange Arts Centre, Keighley, on November 9, with guests Tom McKenzie and Jackson Lake.
Then it’s a spot of busking on Montpelier Hill as part of Harrogate Christmas market on November 18, and an appearance at Folk, Roots & Acoustic, Chapel Allerton (FRACA) in the town’s Polish Club on December 11.
