MUSIC fans are being invited to come and “join the fun, fun, fun in the Californian sun” as Beach Boys box office hit Westcoast hits Ilkley.
Based on the “good vibrations” of The Beach Boys, theatregoers can enjoy million-selling singles Surfin’ USA, I Get Around, California Girls, Barbara Ann, Help Me Rhonda, Wouldn’t it be Nice, God Only Knows and scores more Beach Boys hits as they were originally performed.
Show promoter Michael Taylor of Easy Theatres said: “Delicious five-part harmonies are brought to the stage by an all-star cast. Westcoast is a feel-good stage show that rides on a wave of superb musicianship.”
More than 30 hit songs are featured in the fast-moving production. Humour and warmth is promised from the cast of talented actors and singers who are backed by a band of West End musicians.
The colourful stage extravaganza promises to take music fans back to the Sixties to “relive the summertime sounds of a simpler, more wholesome time when music was literally full of sunshine”.
“Surf’s up, the sun’s out, it’s time to come and catch a wave to the Westcoast,” added Michael.
