TEXAS indie band Oh Hellos will bring their UK tour to the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on August 15.

Critics have said the band – a mixture of "exuberance and intimacy” – explode with magnetic energy causing the audience to follow suit.

The Oh Hellos are touring the world to promote their latest album Dear Wormwood, following appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass, Newport Folk and Pickathon festivals.

The core of the Oh Hellos is a duo, brother and sister Tyler and Maggie Heath from southern Texas.

A spokesman said: “The duo are joined on stage by an often-epic ensemble—a rotating roster of pickers and players numbering as many as 13 at any given time."

Tyler and Maggie began began making music together in 2011 with a song written for their mother’s birthday, followed later that year by their self-titled, self-produced, independently-released EP.

The four-track recording featured the hit song Hello My Old Heart which received national airplay and currently has over nine million streams on Spotify.

The tour also includes the Deaf Institute in Manchester on August 16.
