BRADFORD Alhambra has announced a trio of feelgood musical shows for the autumn and winter.

The Glenn Miller Story, from October 25 to 29, will star music legend Tommy Steele as American’s most famous big band leader.

This moving new production charts the life and career of the legendary showman in the weeks leading up to the wartime flight over the English Channel that saw him disappear.

The show features a 16-piece orchestra plus a supporting company of performers.

Sunny Afternoon, from February 28 to March 4, tells the story of the early life of Ray Davies and the rise to stardom of The Kinks.

The show features some of 60s band’s best-loved songs, including You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola.

The Full Monty, from March 13 to 18, is Simon Beaufoy’s stage adaptation of his hit movie comedy about jobless Sheffield steelworkers who become strippers.
