THE WHARFE Valley is one of the hotspots for walks before the end of the month.

Ray Wood will take people on a five-mile circular walk around Middleton Woods, near Ilkley, on Sunday.

Meet at Ilkley swimming pool at 10.30am.

Moorside Meanders is the title of a circular five-mile wander on Tuesday onto the moorland, through farms and interesting historical features.

Meet Anne Hodgson at 10.30am outside Addingham library.

It’s over to the other side of Bradford on May 22 for a circular seven-mile walk entitled Bailiff.

Meet Ken Allen at 11am at Bailiff Bridge crossroads, at the junction of the A41 and A649, for some lane walking through Wyke and Oakenshaw on good paths.

Keighley Moor reservoir is one of the destination of an eight-mile circular hike on May 25, meeting Malcolm Gardner at Laycock Village Hall at 10.30am for a walk through valley and moorland, with reminders of rural textile history still visible.

The last walk of the month is in the same area, taking in Newsholme and Slippery Ford, as part of a seven-mile route, on May 28.
