IT'S that time of year again: red hearts and chocolates adorn every supermarket and gooey messages line the cards in Clinton's for the celebration of love. Here at Ilkley Cinema, we're marking the occasion by showing some wonderful films guaranteed to make your heart flutter and possibly bring a tear to your eye.

If you’re after something different this Valentine’s, pop down and watch a classic rom-com. Nothing says romance like cuddling up on a comfy sofa with your loved one, with a cheeky bottle of wine and some nibbles. Who could resist such amorous charm? Showing the timeless classics Brief Encounter, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, When Harry Met Sally and The Artist, you’re guaranteed a date, whether it’s rekindling the marriage magic, a girl's night out or treating your dear mum. Snap up these tickets quickly to avoid going to a restaurant for yet another predictable Valentine's Day.

This week, we also have returning with unanimous enthusiasm and by direct command from the First Order, the hugely popular Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So, if you missed it the first time round, don’t worry as there will be plenty of opportunities to catch Rey and Finn on their galactic adventures with Han Solo and Chewbacca. Or if you fancy watching it for a second time, no one would blame you. Treat the kids this half term on a rainy day, you certainly won’t be disappointed.

Finally, we have the spinoff sequel to the Rocky franchise Creed, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Balboa, training Apollo Creed’s son Adonis Johnson, played by Michael B. Jordan. The sparring underdog Adonis finds boxing to be in his veins, and seeks to track down Balboa as his mentor to defeat deadly opponents in this latest instalment. In what promises to be one of the best Rocky movies to date, this reinvention will have loyal fans reigniting their love for the series, and inviting new fans into the Rocky legacy. These films will be screened from 12th-18th February, with tickets on sale now.
