Two of Otley Folk Festival's most popular singer-songwriters, Phil Langran and Dave Vermond, will be appearing at Otley's Labour Rooms on Walkergate on Friday, February 19 from 8pm.
Phil Langran, whose band has become one of the Festival's regular highlights in recent years, will be performing a rare solo gig, while Dave Vermond, one of Wharfedale's best known singers and writers, will be sharing the bill.
Phil Langran's songs are beautifully crafted, full of melody, emotional warmth and wry humour. His onstage wit and spontaneity will be ably matched by Otley's own Dave Vermond. As a dynamic performer with a host of wide-ranging songs, Dave never gives less than his best. Phil and Dave first met in 1959, at the same village school in Essex, and met again by chance in Leeds in 1987. Since then both talented artists have made Otley a regular venue. Admission on the night is £6, with proceeds going to the Otley Food Bank.
