ROCK fans will hear a special tribute to the David Bowie in a new addition to a big-name rock tribute night coming to Ilkley this May.

Hit stage show One Night of Rock promises to deliver 48 full-on, air-punching, arm-waving, foot-stomping, head-banging, chorus-singing rock anthems when it blazes into thee King's Hall on Thursday May 12.

The show features the music of: Bon Jovi, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Meat Loaf, Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, The Who, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Status Quo, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Whitesnake, Muse, ZZ Top, Kiss and more.

Producers will also take the opportunity in this production to pay homage to one of the great musical innovators of the last century, the man of many faces and guises - from Ziggy Stardust to Aladdin Insane - David Bowie.

The production is described by promoter Michael Taylor as an all-new audio visual rock experience.

“One Night of Rock features non-stop, axe-wielding, powerhouse performances plus an awesome laser show,” says Michael. “Your ears and eyes just won’t believe what they’re hearing and seeing.

“Crackling with energy, a packed stage pays host to four oh-so-sweet-voiced singers plus amazing multi-talented musicians.

"The set list is enough to make you breathless just reading it, according to Michael. He says: “From Whole Lotta Love to Sweet Child of Mine, Born to be Wild to Walk this Way, Layla to Bohemian Rhapsody, I Can’t Get No Satisfaction to Bat Out of Hell, Freebird to Eye of the Tiger, Highway to Hell to The Final Countdown music fans are in for an unrelenting wave of feel-good rock anthems.”

He added: "The soaring lead vocals are shared between two oh-so-sweet-voiced girls and two rock-god guys, backed with real musical muscle by an axe-wielding, all-girl band. One Night of Rock will have music fans rocking in the aisles as it takes them on a two-hour trip back in time to the glory days of live rock anthems."
