COMEDIAN Ed Byrne will headline at the City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds on October 30.

Byrne has performed six sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and three sell-out UK tours.

He is also a television regular, with appearances under his belt including Mock the Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and The Unbelievable Truth.

The City Varieties will tonight (July 30) host a concert by Badly Drawn Boy, alias Damon Gough, who will perform his Mercury Prize-winning album Hour Of The Bewilderbeast in its entirety.

Celebrating the album’s 50th anniversary, Damon will also perform a set of Badly Drawn Boy classics and old favourites.

The autumn season will begin on September 5 with a concert entitled Paradise Regained and performed by Cheryl, Mike and Jay, formerly of 80s Eurovision winners Bucks Fizz.

Singer impressionist Joe Longthorne will perform on September 11, while 1970s singer Leo Sayer will present his Restless Years tour on September 22.

There will be comedy during the autumn with German funnyman Henning Wehn (September 18 and 19), curly-haired TV star Josh Widdicombe (September 30), former psychology graduate Patrick Kielty (October 8), pun master Stewart Francis (October 14 and November 4) and Hebburn actor Chris Ramsey (October 21).

Give Me The Moonlight on September 12 will be a celebration of the life and hits of Frankie Vaughan, starring Johnny Tudor from BBC sitcom Gavin And Stacey.

Dean Friedman will perform songs from throughout his three-decade career, including hits Lucky Stars, Ariel and Lydia, on September 26.
