A ‘QUIRKY’ tale about two friends who become fathers later in life will be presented in Fewston next month.
The Unlikely Dads, by Kate Bramley, will be performed by Badapple Theatre Co at the Parochial Hall on Thursday, April 30 at 7.30pm.
The play, starring Robert Angell and Robert Took, boasts music composed by Jez Lowe, an award-winning singer-songwriter who has been nominated for two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards this year.
Its tour of village halls around the country is part of writer and Badapple founder Kate’s Theatre on your Doorstep initiative, to bring professional dramatic performances to small rural venues.
She said: “My priority is to give the audience entertainment of the highest, professional quality. There should be no barrier to age or venue size when it comes to staging original work.”
Tickets cost £9.50 or £5 from 01943 880362 or visit badappletheatre.com.
