AWARD winning female choir Opus 44 is hosting an upper voice choral workshop and is inviting women from across the region to attend.

It is an opportunity to sing with Opus 44’s choral director, Alison Pryce-Jones.

Alison studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating as a singer, pianist and flautist, and at the London Opera Centre. She was a founder member of Opera North and sang with Scottish Opera.

She has been a tutor at Leeds College of Music and at the University of Huddersfield School of Education. She teaches singing at Rastrick High School where she is also Director of Choirs. She is Joint Choral Director of the Yorkshire Youth Choir and was Director of City of Leeds Youth Choir for seven years.

Opus 44 wants to share her expertise with other like- minded people in the workshop which takes place on Sunday, May 10, from 10am to 4pm, at the Bingley Little Theatre Studio, BD16 2LZ. The cost, including music hire and light refreshments, is £15 and £7.50 for students. There is no disabled access to the Studio.
