FEWSTON church will host a night of choral music by the Ilkley and Skipton chamber choir Pinsuti.
The concert, on Saturday at 7.30pm, begins with haunting Tudor anthems by the 16th century composer Tallis who composed for Henry VIII as well as Edward VI, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth I.
Songs of Farewell by Hubert Parry and Charles Villiers Stanford’s For lo, I raise up celebrate music in the 19th century. The evening ends with Lux Aurumque, a 21st century composition by Eric Whitacre, the 44-year-old Grammy-winning American composer and conductor.
