FEWSTON church is the setting for a night of music by the Ilkley and Skipton chamber choir Pinsuti.
The concert, on Saturday, March 21, at 7.30pm, begins with haunting Tudor anthems by the 16th century composer Tallis, who composed for Henry VIII as well as Edward VI, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth I.
Songs of Farewell by Hubert Parry and Charles Villiers, Stanford’s For lo, I raise up celebrate music in the 19th century.
The evening ends with the inspirational Lux Aurumque, a 21st century composition by Eric Whitacre, the 44-year-old Grammy-winning American composer and conductor, known for his choral. orchestral and wind ensemble music as well as his virtual choir projects.
