MAESTRO of feel-good comedy, Stephen K Amos, has included a date at Bingley Arts Centre as part of his mega UK Autumn tour

He will be appearing at the intimate West Yorkshire venue on Sunday October 5 with his new show, Welcome to My World.

Tickets are now on sale and selling quickly.

Fresh from his sell-out tours of Australia and New Zealand and currently headlining at the Edinburgh Festival, his radio shows “An Idiots Guide” and “What Does the K Stand For” have recently been featured on BBC Radio 4.

Stephen K Amos has charmed and entertained audiences all over the world with his natural, assured delivery and his honest original material. Amos is filled with an almost childlike joy and exuberance and can find the funny in some of the most unexpected places.

A gifted actor too, Amos has impressed audiences and critics with his performances on stage and screen and has appeared on BBC's Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week and Have I Got News for You as well as being one of the only stand up comics chosen to appear on The Royal Variety Performance.

This enchanting comedian has been described by the Sunday Times as “the warmest comic around, able to riff off a crowd and make them feel good about themselves."

This show is certainly a big date for the Arts Centre in Bingley as the internationally-acclaimed comedian usually plays to far larger audiences.

Local promoter, Kirk Worley, who is presenting the show is hoping that if the event is well supported he will be able to bring some other major comedy acts to the town in the near future.

“Its great for the people of Bingley and surrounding areas to be able to see big name acts on their doorstep without having to travel to the big cities and I'm really looking forward to seeing Stephen perform here.”

The show starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £17 are available now from the Arts Centre box office on (01274) 567983 or online at bingleyartscentre.co.uk.
