We’ve an action-packed fortnight of entertainment coming up with pretty much something for everyone.

From the world of comedy to the world of music, with an excellent evening for jazz lovers on Friday, May 23, at 8pm.

Kate Peters, one of the most exciting new performers to come out of the UK, promises a performance to remember.

A uniquely talented and versatile vocalist, Kate graduated from Leeds College of Music and has since worked in a wide variety of styles and areas of the music industry, as well as appearing on national TV programmes such as Heartbeat and The Royal.

Her album Believe was released under Kate’s own name in 2006, as a collaboration with French composer, Jean Pascal Vielfaure.

As a member of the Charity Dreamgirls, Kate has also worked alongside artists such as Candi Staton, Jaki Graham, Roachford, Melanie Masson (X Factor), Jazz Ellington (The Voice), Katrina (Katrina and the Waves) and Angie Brown.

The jazz night line-up will feature four performers – Kate Peters (vocals), Rich Jevons (guitar), John Marley (bass) and Joe Montague (drums) – and promises high-class musical entertainment .

But it’s a magical puppet show by Odd Doll productions which promises to steal the show for our younger audience, on Saturday, May 24, at 3pm.

An absolute must for families, The Worried Walrus promises to immerse you in an imaginary world where anything is possible and nothing is predictable.

Performed to live original music and song, this spectacular puppet show is touring the UK and we are thrilled to have this Leeds-based puppetry company perform on Ilkley’s doorstep.

Odd Doll’s inspiration comes from fairytales, circus and dance and they have mastered the techniques of puppetry beautifully!

So come and be entertained for 50 minutes by this magical story where an animal beauty contest sees Terry the Tree Frog, Randy the Panda, Mary-Rose the beautiful flamingo and first time competitor - Wendy the Walrus take centre stage!

Join Wendy on her epic journey to the bottom of ocean where she makes some unlikely new friends who help her to re-think what real beauty is. You won’t be disappointed.
