TEN full and part-time jobs have been created, including several for previously unemployed people, at a new drive-through coffee shop in Bradford.
Lord Mayor Cllr Mike Gibbons officially opened the new Starbucks at a petrol station on Rooley Lane, which is the chain's second drive-through venue to open in West Yorkshire, Another one is planned for Cleckheaton before the end of the year.
The Lord Mayor , along with Lady Mayoress Liz Sharp, sampled several types of coffee, served up by store manager Peter Hunt, 33, of East Bowling.
The new store is a franchise operated by Blackburn-based Euro Garages Ltd and the 43rd to be opened across the UK by the firm.
Peter Hunt, said the store was chosen for its main road location, proximity to the motorway network and closeness to neighbouring communities.
He said: "I'm very passionate about Bradford and I am focused on Starbucks@BD4 being a community-driven coffee house. From book clubs, to local charities and everything in between, our doors are open."
