THIS photograph of an Esholt pub was taken long before it was made famous in Emmerdale.
The Commercial Inn, on Main Street, was renamed the Woolpack for the purposes of the TV programme when it was filmed in the village.
When it was uploaded to Aireborough Historical Society’s facebook page the picture attracted 2,400 viewers within just three hours
Eventually Emmerdale got its own permanent location when a replica village was built on the Harewood estate.
In 1993 Ilkley College’s rugby union team were pictured after pushing a 36 gallon beer barrel from Otley to Ilkley.
