Yeadon High Street was still a two way road when this photograph was taken, around half a century ago.

The picture was donated to Aireborough Historical Society by Edith and Roger Pratt and is described by the society as "just another example of the magical photos people have tucked away in albums at home."

The photograph was looked at by more than 4,625 people in 24 hours on the society's facebook page.

Many of those viewing it online believe it was taken in the 1960s - pointing to the Ford Anglia 105E, and the poster which reads "A glass and a half in every bar."

The picture house which can be seen in the photograph opened in 1925.
