This picture, recently sold as part of a private collection, captures a Samuel Ledgard coach rounding the bend on Moor Road by The Hermit pub, Burley Woodhead.
The picture is believed to have been taken before 1967, but the precise date is not known.
According to the original collector, the bus is a Foden PVSC6LW, registration number MUA 867.
It was new in May 1950 and served its whole life with the Ledgard company until May 1967, when it was sold to a Bradford scrap dealer.
Although the scene may still look familiar today, and The Hermit still bears the same name, there have been a few changes. As well as the signs, the tree has gone. The car parked on the right is thought to be a Ford Prefect.
