Pool children are first in swimming gala

The winning swimmers from Pool-in-Wharfedale.
Young Wharfedale swimmers have been celebrating scoring a double success in an annual gala.
Pool-in-Wharfedale C of E Primary School’s Under 9s and Under 11s teams both achieved first overall places in the 2012 Wharfedale School Sports swimming gala.
The competition was held at Aireborough Leisure Centre, in Guiseley, earlier this year.
Pool primary’s headteacher Mark McDermid said: “A big well done to all the pupils.”
The winning swimmers were – Under 11s: Jamie Broome, William Pallister, Cameron Duncan, Robbie Goldthorpe, Charlotte Scott, Esme Sudall, Olivia Stacey, Bronte Swales. Under 9s: Oliver Peeters, Ollie Wade, Oscar Waites, Charlie Broome, Hannah Green, Katie Scott, Izzy Watson, Kathryn Dawes.
