Children at a Wharfedale school have been really letting their hair down for a good cause.

Pool Primary joined other schools across Leeds to take part in the hirsute delights of Febru-hairy, a fundraising campaign for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.

Pupils paid a pound each to come in to school last Friday sporting all kinds of crazy hair styles, wigs and costumes.

The Wacky Hair Day raised £190 for the Headingley based hospice, which provides care for people from across Leeds and beyond who have life-limiting illnesses.
