THE British Council have just awarded Benton Park Technology College the International School Award.
The award acknowledges the links built up with schools Brazil, USA, South Africa, France, Spain, Germany and Hong Kong.
The ISA encourages and supports schools to develop the following: l An international ethos embedded throughout the school.
l A majority of pupils within the school impacted by and involved in international work.
l Collaborative curriculum-based work with a number of partner schools.
l Curriculum-based work across a range of subjects.
This is the second award the college has received this year; with the other being the Gold Artsmark.
Principal Anne Clarke said: "Although we are very pleased with our best ever exam results at both GCSE and A level this year, this award shows we don't believe education is simply about exams. It is important that our pupils gain a wide appreciation of many aspects of life."
