Pole vaulter Andy Rusell will be aiming high in this weekend’s English Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The Guiseley School student achieved a personal best of 3 metres when representing Leeds in the West Yorkshire Championships to clinch his place in the premier schools athletics event. He school colleagues Hannah Brown ran in the 3,000m and Ellie Denton contested the triple jump in the West Yorkshire Championships and like Andy they won their events.
