Burley Oaks is hoping for sporting repeat

A primary school in Burley-in-Wharfedale is hoping to repeat its sporting successes this year.

Last year, four of Burley Oaks Primary School's sports teams came tops in competitions organised by the Ilkley cluster of schools. Its indoor athletics team won a competition held at Westville House School and then went on to be placed third at area championships held in Keighley. The girls football team was also placed first in Ilkley while the two boys and girls rugby teams won their competitions held at Ilkley Grammar School.
