The sounds of the 80s have been wowing audiences at Prince Henry's Grammar School in Otley this week.

Students and staff have put a lot of time in rehearsing for their show Back to the 80s', which opened on Tuesday night.

The production features a total of 24 songs from the decade of big hair and shoulder pads and the students have been rehearsing since last September.

The musical, written by Neil Gooding, tells the nostalgic story of 30 year-old Corey Palmer, who is casting his mind back to the highs and lows of his high school days.

Featuring hits like Kids in America' and Footloose', the shows runs through to Saturday, February 2, with performances each evening at 7.30pm.

It is a colourful, lively and highly entertaining show.

Tickets at £7.50, concessions £5, are available from Prince Henry's Grammar School at break and lunchtime for pupils or from the school office for other interested parties.

The school has developed a good reputation for first-class shows over recent years with the highly acclaimed Les Miserables' (schools edition) in 2006, Grease', Little Shop of Horrors' and Somebody Up There Likes Me' all having rolled successfully off the production line in recent times much to the delight of students, staff, parents and friends.
