Comedy Cabaret back at The Courthouse
 |
| Martin Soan |
Start the year with a good laugh on Friday, January 25, when the popular Comedy Cabaret Heaven returns in a Friday night slot at Otley Courthouse with an eclectic show to delight and disarm you.
Featuring absurd comic genius Martin Soan a young Time Out award winner and now middle-aged Perrier Award winner nominee. He's the master of props and will dazzle with an array of characters and gags that will leave you agog.
Local band The Sex Patels will get those feet tapping with a fusion of banghra and punk playing an impressive range of instruments: tabla, guitar, cittern, sax, clarinet, strings, sarangi, sitar, harmonium - not to mention the singing.
Storytelling genius Joseph Collins invents stories to blur the lines between reality and fantasy, creating an urban gothic world of where giant eagles roost on tower blocks, goblins emerge from the sewers at night and ancient, unholy horrors lurk in the attic. So, be prepared to be scared!
Not forgetting the Otley debut of that fascinating gender illusionist and chanteuse, Mysti Valentine who will entrance, enthrall and get you wondering is it, or isn't it?
Bantering Bernard Otter will get you in the mood as compere ably assisted by hostess Peggy Lee. Expect a particapative evening!
Tickets are available from the Box Office from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday on 01943 467466 or e-mail otleycourthouse@tiscali.co.uk or on the web at: www.courthouseproject.org.com
Many events sell out so pre booking is recommended.
Otley Courthouse is fully accessible with accessible toilets and lift access to all areas.
Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome. If you need assistance of any kind just ask. An induction loop is available in the Courtroom.
