  • Time to get rid of the ‘rotting tooth stumps’

    I wish to draw your attention to two errors in last week’s article regarding the Chelker Wind Farm. The second paragraph should have read 1,400kwh-per-month, and not for the whole seven month period. Chelker residents have no desire to join Kelda and Yorkshire Water in their “administrative errors”. Indeed no electricity was produced at all during five of those seven months, according to figures provided by OFWAT. read more

    The Prince’s Trust is calling on people across Yorkshire to help tackle youth unemployment by taking part in the youth charity’s cycle challenge. The Mersey to Tyne Cycle Challenge will see nearly 100 cyclists riding 245 miles across three days travelling through the Yorkshire Dales, from Liverpool to Newcastle, starting on September 28, 2012, raising vital funds to get unemployed young people into work. read more
