Suspect released but told to quit town
125 years ago Two suspicious characters who had been lodging at a dwelling house in Otley were brought up in court charged with stealing a box containing 25sh from the house. They stoutly denied the charge and the police made a diligent search but were unable to find any trace of the box. The bench discharged the prisoners, ordering them to quit the town at once. read more
