Major attraction for villagers of Leathley
125 years ago The usually quiet village of Leathley was all astir. Through the kindness of Major and Mrs Blackwood, the scholars of the Day and Sunday Schools, their teachers and indeed, almost everyone in the parish, were entertained at Leathley Hall. The weather which had been previously very unsettled, changed as if by magic to bright sunshine. read more
