Wrangle over who should be responsible for maintenance of new rural roads
125 years ago The Otley Highway board had a long discussion regarding some new roads at Fewston, Norwood and Timble Little which the Leeds Corporation wished the Highway Board to take the responsibility of repairing. It was stated that meetings had been held at Fewston and Norwood where the ratepayers decided the roads in question were not of sufficient utility to the town to keep them in repair. read more
